Lisa: ouch.
Something is very wrong with my neck.
I think I slept on it funny, and then I turned my head in a weird way while I was leaning over putting my shoes on this morning, and something went "ping." In my neck. Now whenever I move my head there is a sharp pain at the base of my skull and sort of a pulling feeling down the left side of the back of my neck. I keep sort of pushing on the area of greatest discomfort, but I don't think it's helping.
Suggestions?

Posted by: Emily on October 20, 2006 03:26 PMThis exact thing happened to me last week. It was miserable. I tryed everything... heat, cold, massage, stretching. Nothing helped. Basically all you can do is wait it out. Sorry! Feel better soon!

Yes, a stroke, and I was only 25 at the time. Turns out I tore an artery in my neck and my body formed a unusually large clot. Hence, the pain. If it persists you may want to check with a Dr.
