Sarah: Ew.
There are times to do some cleaning, and then there are times to move out of your apartment. The moment I discovered this little surprise was borderline. I may not sleep for days.
I wish you could have included a quarter for scale. Unfortunately I don't have an intimate knowledge of the size of your carpet fibers. So to speak.

Even though the spider was dead, I still stood about four feet away and used the camera zoom to make it appear I was closer to the spider. There is no way i would have gotten my hand next to the spider to set down a quarter. Suffice it to say, the spider (legs included) was about the size of a quarter. I have big carpet fibers. My vacuum luckily cleaned up the spider.
