Lisa: Pre-training, Day 3
Today we had the most people yet! After some slight confusion as to which parking lot we were supposed to be waiting in, Mallory, Marci, Sarah and I met at the Olympus Hills Park for our walk. It said "closed for winter" on the signs, and the paths were snowy, but we decided to stay. There were several people walking their dogs, and some runners who were much more hardcore than we are were on the trails as well. It was cold when we started, but going up hills and up several sets of stairs soon got our blood going. We sort of did a figure 8 around the park's trails to get up to 30 minutes. Yay, us!
131 lbs, 31% body fat
Posted by lisa at December 11, 2005 09:33 PMhello,
yay marathoners. I would run with you but have no time whatsoever. and your more hardcore than me. 150 lbs. and how the heck do i find my body fat?
It was so much more fun walking with people then doing it by yourself. And it was not so bad on the knee. As long as I keep a supply of advil on me. I should do ok. So I am going to try to make it to as many weekday walks as I can.
Posted by: Marci on December 12, 2005 11:10 AMSo Lisa... for a clue as to why I didnt show up for the walk on Sunday; movie+2 Dr. Peppers+no bathroom+kidney issues. You get the drift. There was some serious pain. But the movie was so good! I couldnt leave it! I am also worried about this week since i still have no car, so in its place I will walk alone until I have some sort of transportation other than your brother. hehe
Posted by: Jessie on December 12, 2005 06:20 PMJeff, you measure your body fat with a special scale or body fat analyzer. I have one if you want to come over and test yourself.
No worries, Jessie!
Marci, I'm excited to see you more in the mornings!
